Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: April 9, 2026

Important: This policy applies to all transactions on ZeroDetail Marketplace. Please read carefully before making any payments.

1. Transaction Fees

ZeroDetail Marketplace charges a 2% transaction fee on successful vehicle deals. This fee is:

  • Deducted from the final transaction amount
  • Applicable only when a deal is successfully completed
  • Non-refundable once the transaction is processed

Example: For a vehicle sold at ₹10,00,000, the transaction fee would be ₹20,000.

2. Certification Fees

2.1 Certification Charges

Vehicle certification is mandatory for listing as "Certified" on our platform. Certification fees are:

  • ₹2,000 per inspection for standard vehicles
  • ₹3,000 per inspection for luxury/premium vehicles
  • Payable at the time of inspection scheduling
2.2 Certification Fee Refunds

Certification fees are refundable only in the following circumstances:

  • If the valuator cancels the inspection
  • If the vehicle is not available for inspection at the scheduled time
  • If the inspection cannot be completed due to platform technical issues

Certification fees are non-refundable if:

  • You cancel the inspection less than 24 hours before scheduled time
  • The vehicle fails certification
  • You decide not to list the vehicle after certification

3. Lead Submission Fees

Submitting leads/offers on vehicles is free of charge. However, once a lead is accepted by the seller:

  • The offer becomes binding for 48 hours
  • If you cancel the offer after acceptance, you may be charged a cancellation fee of ₹5,000
  • Repeated cancellations may result in account suspension

4. Vehicle Transaction Refunds

4.1 Successful Transactions

Once a vehicle transaction is completed and payment is processed:

  • Transaction fees are non-refundable
  • Vehicle purchase amounts are transferred to the seller minus transaction fees
  • All sales are final between buyer and seller
4.2 Disputed Transactions

In case of disputes regarding vehicle condition or documentation:

  • We provide mediation services to resolve disputes
  • If mediation fails, transaction may be cancelled
  • Transaction fees may be refunded at our discretion based on investigation
4.3 Fraudulent Transactions

If a transaction is found to be fraudulent:

  • All payments will be refunded to the affected party
  • The fraudulent account will be permanently suspended
  • Legal action may be pursued

5. Cancellation Policy

5.1 Vehicle Listings

You may cancel/remove your vehicle listing at any time before receiving offers. Once an offer is accepted:

  • Cancellation requires mutual agreement with the buyer
  • Unilateral cancellation may result in penalties
  • Repeated cancellations may affect your seller rating
5.2 Inspection Appointments

Inspection appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled:

  • More than 24 hours notice: Free rescheduling
  • Less than 24 hours notice: 50% of certification fee forfeited
  • No-show: Full certification fee forfeited
5.3 Accepted Offers

Once an offer is accepted by the seller:

  • Buyer has 48 hours to complete payment
  • Cancellation within 48 hours: ₹5,000 penalty
  • Cancellation after 48 hours: Transaction fee + 10% of vehicle price as penalty

6. Refund Process

6.1 Eligibility

To be eligible for a refund:

  • Request must be submitted within 7 days of the transaction
  • Request must include valid reasons and supporting documentation
  • Account must be in good standing with no violations
6.2 Request Submission

Submit refund requests through:

  • Email: refunds@zerodetail.com
  • Contact form on our website
  • Your dealer dashboard (if applicable)

Include: Transaction ID, reason for refund, and supporting evidence.

6.3 Processing Time

Refund processing timeline:

  • Initial response: 24-48 hours
  • Investigation: 3-7 business days
  • Refund processing: 5-10 business days after approval
6.4 Refund Methods

Approved refunds will be issued via:

  • Original payment method (preferred)
  • Bank transfer to registered account
  • Platform credit (for future transactions)

7. Special Circumstances

7.1 Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters
  • Government actions
  • Network failures
  • Labor disputes
7.2 Platform Errors

In case of platform errors leading to incorrect charges:

  • We will immediately refund any incorrect charges
  • We may provide compensation at our discretion
  • Please report errors immediately to support@zerodetail.com

We reserve the right to update this refund and cancellation policy at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via email and platform notifications.
